I’m Remo Singh, an independent singer, songwriter and music producer from Assam, India. I started creating music on my own in 2018. Music has always been something I was naturally drawn to, and over time it became a way for me to express the things I feel, think and experience.
I’m completely self-taught. I have never taken formal training in singing or music. Whatever I know today has come from listening, experimenting, practicing and making mistakes along the way. I learned by actually doing things—writing songs, creating melodies, recording vocals and working on the production myself.
Writing is probably the most personal part of music for me. I write my own lyrics and create my own melodies. Many of my songs come from simple thoughts, emotions, memories or situations that stayed with me. I don’t always try to follow a particular genre. I just like making music that feels honest to me.
Since 2018, I have written and created more than 30 songs. Some were completed, some remained unfinished, and some took years before I felt ready to work on them again. Every song has its own story, and each one is a small part of my journey with music.
A Break From Music
From 2021 to 2025, I took a break from singing and active music creation to focus on my personal education and other things in life. For several years, I wasn’t actively releasing or working on songs. Still, music never completely left me.
In 2026, I started coming back to music again. After such a long break, returning to singing and songwriting feels different. I’m not trying to rush anything. I simply want to keep creating, keep learning and give the songs that I believe in a chance to be heard.
For me, music isn’t something I learned from a course or a classroom. It’s something I have been learning by myself, one song at a time.
